When a Family Home Becomes a Worry

For many years, the owner of this property had lived independently in their own home. But eventually circumstances changed and they had to move into residential care.

The family lived a considerable distance away which made looking after the house increasingly difficult.

As time passed the property began to deteriorate.

The garden became badly overgrown, maintenance was neglected, and what had once been a family home was becoming a problem.

But it wasn't just the condition of the house that concerned the family.

With the property standing empty, local youngsters had started breaking in and causing a nuisance.

Understandably this was becoming a worry not just for the family but for the neighbours too.

Meanwhile, the family were trying to manage everything from a distance including visiting their relative in care.

Eventually, they decided the property needed to be sold. The money would also help towards the cost of care..

That's where we came in.

We visited the property, assessed its condition and agreed to purchase it without the family having to undertake any repairs, clear the overgrown garden or prepare the house for sale.

Unlike some property sales, where the owners need time to make arrangements, this family wanted matters resolved as quickly as possible.

With the property empty and continuing to attract unwanted attention there was little benefit in delaying.

We agreed to proceed as quickly as the legal process allowed.

The family were able to concentrate on looking after their relative rather than worrying about an empty, deteriorating property miles away.

And the neighbours no longer had the uncertainty of what might happen next.

Have an empty property that's becoming difficult to manage?

Perhaps a relative has moved into care, you live too far away to maintain the house, or the property has simply become too much to look after.

We buy properties in all sorts of conditions, including those that have been standing empty for some time.

No repairs, no need to tidy the garden, and no estate agent fees.

Just give us a call and tell us about the property.

Have a property in a similar condition?

Whether you've inherited a house that needs extensive work, have an overgrown garden or simply don't know where to start, we'd be happy to have a chat.

We buy properties as they are. No repairs, no clearing everything out, and no estate agent fees.

Give us a call and tell us about your property.
